What you’ll be doing as a Project Manager
  1. Develop and deliver an optimised project to achieve all regulatory, statutory, and internal outputs, deadlines, and targets.
  2. Ensure governance compliance and stakeholder engagement throughout the project lifecycle, facilitating a smooth transition of outcomes into operations.
  3. Refine project briefs, including information for early contractor involvement.
  4. Manage the project’s route to consent, highlighting risks and considering early works.
  5. Oversee contractor performance to deliver outcomes on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
  6. Forecast project costs accurately over various timeframes.
  7. Manage risks and changes transparently through reporting and escalation.
  8. Contribute to continuous improvement and achieve stretch targets.
  9. Handle all contract matters to achieve optimal outcomes for Thames Water.

Role involves on-site work at Hampton Coal Wharf 2-3 days a week, with flexibility required.

This is a 36-hour week, Monday to Friday, with options for part-time hours. A driver’s license and access to a car are preferred.

What you should bring to the role
  • Strong contractual knowledge of project management.
  • Experience managing third-party performance.
  • Financial skills to manage profit & loss, revenue, expenditure, and cash flow.
  • Ability to implement feedback systems and communicate tough messages empathetically.
  • Excellent stakeholder relationship skills.
  • Proven customer service ethic and experience in improving customer satisfaction.
What’s in it for you?
  • Salary from £46,560 to £69,840 per annum, depending on experience.
  • 26 days holiday, increasing to 30 with service, plus bank holidays.
  • Contributory pension scheme (up to 12%).
