Position Overview

As a Project Manager at base, you will play a vital role in facilitating the successful execution of various projects in a fast-paced media technology company. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires a combination of strong organizational skills, communication abilities, and a passion for high-quality professional services delivery.

You will line into the Senior Program Manager and be assigned to specific customer initiatives within our Programs (professional services) pillar, dealing personally with some of the world’s biggest media brands across broadcast, film, gaming, agencies, and more.

We are seeking candidates with outstanding communication skills and high levels of emotional intelligence who are detail-oriented, technically proficient, and wish to be part of an exciting, high-growth company on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Scheduling:
  • Develop and own comprehensive project plans, timelines, and milestones for your assigned projects and initiatives. Being responsible for the implementation and management of documentation, project tickets, project management tracking software, and reports as required.
  • Coordinate project schedules, ensuring all tasks are assigned and deadlines are met.
  • Monitor project progress and proactively identify and address any potential roadblocks.
  • Liaise with, and coordinate all internal and external stakeholders for project-related Stand-ups, project cadence meetings, customer workshops, and ongoing communications as per the governance structure defined for each project.
  • Project Manage global base Cloud Native Media Services rollouts & onboarding across multiple regions while navigating operational and business priority differences.
  • Handle projects with complex change management requirements and stakeholder dynamics.
  • Align with core program strategy, taking into account both global corporate goals and individual client requirements.
  • Build & Reinforce client engagement using influence and adopting structured governance models.
  • Influence end-to-end change management within client organizations, helping them to adopt and embrace new workflows and technologies.
  • Design stakeholder engagement strategies that promote collaboration, transparency, and accountability across all project phases and as part of the wider ecosystem (customer/vendors/internal).
  • Liaise with cross-functional teams (development, engineering, DevOps, clients, and Vendors) to evangelise for and encourage the uptake of Agile methodologies.
Team Coordination and Communication:
  • Book and schedule contractors and internal staff to ensure seamless diary management and well-planned, efficient meetings (always providing an agenda in advance for the meetings).
  • Organise and note-take all project meetings, documenting key decisions and action items, and sharing follow-up minutes after each call with attendees.
  • Serve as a point of contact for project-related inquiries and updates.
  • Facilitate communication between all internal team members, ensuring alignment and clarity on project objectives.
Resource Management:
  • Assist in resource allocation, including personnel, equipment, and budgeting.
  • Track project expenses and maintain budgetary compliance, including regular detailed financial analysis reports to be produced for the senior management team (detailing income, costs, time-sheets, and gross margin analysis for all projects, on a rolling basis), working in collaboration with Finance team.
  • Coordinate resource bookings with external vendors and partners as needed (including for freelance consultants and developers).
Quality Assurance:
  • Implement and maintain quality assurance processes to ensure deliverables meet company standards and client expectations (including reading, quality checking, and brand design checking all document stack deliveries before submission to customers).
  • Conduct regular reviews and audits to identify areas for improvement and optimize project workflows, reporting said findings to the Senior Program Manager.
Documentation and Reporting:
  • Generate regular progress reports for stakeholders (including dynamic online dashboards), highlighting project status against plans, resource utilisation metrics, key achievements, challenges/blockers, budget summaries, and upcoming milestones.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of specific industry project management and technical delivery methodologies for software (Project Management methodologies, Agile/Scrum/Kanban & SDLC)
  • Excellent knowledge of Jira, Confluence, Microsoft 365, Slack, and other similar tools
  • Demonstrated professional experience working as a Project Manager in a similar role and/or sector
  • Excellent customer-facing and internal communication skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Outstanding organisational skills, including attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, products, and technical challenges
  • Excellent customer-facing presentation skills
  • Ability to communicate with stakeholders and management at all levels
  • A team player with a desire to share knowledge with other team members
Qualifications and Professional Experience:
  • You must already hold industry recognised qualifications, for example: Prince2/PMI/Scrum
  • At least 5 years in similar or related roles, preferably working within the media tech, cloud, or software integration sectors
  • Working with Scrum / Agile project methodologies
