The role

As a Project Manager, you’ll manage customer relationships and project execution, including risk identification and monitoring. We’re innovating to make nuclear safer, faster, and more cost-effective across the nuclear energy lifecycle, contributing to UK’s Net Zero goals through projects like Hinkley C, Sizewell C, and X Energy. As Cavendish Nuclear expands, so do the opportunities.

Your daily responsibilities include planning and responding to project threats and opportunities, establishing governance arrangements, defining roles and responsibilities, leading project delivery with a focus on employee engagement and continuous improvement, and implementing the latest technology. You will also lead on Health, Safety, Security, Environment, and Quality within the project.

• Establish and maintain governance structures for project delivery.
• Lead the project to achieve world-class performance.
• Identify and implement new technologies and lead health, safety, security, environment, and quality initiatives.

This is a full-time, permanent position with hybrid working options, requiring travel to our hubs in Warrington, Leicester, Newbury, or Bristol.

Essential experience

• Recent and relevant experience in a similar environment or sector.
• Experience in delivering design projects.
• Full project lifecycle experience from bid to close-out.
• Knowledge of contracting methodologies such as FIDIC, NEC3, JCT.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, project, or construction management, or equivalent.
• APM Project Management Qualification (PMQ) in progress.
• Chartered Project Professional (ChPP).
• IOSH Managing Safely or higher safety qualification preferred.

The successful candidate must be able to obtain SC security clearance.
