Job summary

TWG Consulting is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support delivery of major construction and infrastructure projects in the United Kingdom. Responsibilities include leading projects from planning through handover, ensuring safety, programme, cost and quality objectives are met.

Ideal candidates will have a strong track record in projects valued from £5m to £100m, experience in consultancy or client-side roles, and knowledge of NEC contracts. NEC3/NEC4 experience is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Experience in consultancy or client-side project management preferred.
• Strong understanding of project management principles and lifecycle.
• Experience with NEC contracts (NEC3/NEC4) preferred.

Project Manager

The Opportunity

Our client, an established and growing project management consultancy, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support the delivery of major construction and infrastructure projects.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a consultancy delivering complex, high-value projects on behalf of its clients, with individual project values ranging from 5m to 100m.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in project delivery, ideally with experience working in a client-side or consultancy environment. A sound understanding of NEC contracts and the ability to manage projects through the full delivery lifecycle would be highly advantageous.

The Role

Working closely with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary project teams, you will take responsibility for managing projects from initial planning and design through to construction, completion and handover.

You will provide effective project leadership, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the delivery of construction and infrastructure projects valued between 5m and 100m.

• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing project management and delivery support.

• Oversee project planning, design, procurement, construction and handover activities.

• Manage project programmes, budgets, risks and change control processes.

• Administer and manage NEC contracts, including early warnings and compensation events where applicable.

• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, contractors, consultants and key stakeholders.

• Monitor project performance and provide regular progress reports to senior management and clients.

• Identify and manage project risks, implementing appropriate mitigation measures.

• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, health and safety requirements and quality standards.

• Support the successful delivery of projects against agreed commercial and programme objectives.

About You

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager who can demonstrate:

• A proven track record of delivering construction or infrastructure projects valued between 5m and 100m.

• Experience working within a consultancy or client-side project management environment, ideally.

• A strong understanding of project management principles and the full project lifecycle.

• Experience working with NEC contracts, ideally NEC3 or NEC4.

• Strong commercial awareness, including budget management, risk management and change control.

• Experience managing contractors, consultants and multidisciplinary project teams.

• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and leadership skills.

• The ability to manage complex projects and work effectively within a client-facing environment.

• A relevant qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or a related discipline would be advantageous.
