Job Role
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to lead and deliver fast-paced fit-out and construction projects across a variety of sectors. You will be responsible for managing the entire project lifecycle, from pre-construction through to handover ensuring quality, safety, programme, and budget targets are met. This role demands strong leadership, commercial acumen, and the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.

Role and Responsibilities.

  • Take full ownership of multiple fit-out and/or construction projects from tender through to completion.
  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, including procurement schedules, programmes, and resourcing.
  • Lead project teams, including site managers, subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with client specifications, building regulations, and company standards.
  • Monitor and control budgets, costs, and cash flow; manage variations and contractual obligations.
  • Chair regular progress meetings with clients, design teams, and stakeholders.
  • Act as the key point of contact between the client and site team, ensuring strong communication and satisfaction throughout.
  • Oversee health & safety compliance on-site, working with site teams to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Review and sign off on RAMS, drawings, programmes, and quality documentation.
  • Manage risk, resolve site issues promptly, and ensure timely delivery and quality handover.
  • Be able to implement systems for both commercial and operational activities.
  • Have an excellent level of IT knowledge and experience using a range Microsoft products, MS Project and Asta.
  • Procurement experience and able to analyse the procurement needs of a client.
  • Programming and understanding contracts.
  • Raising of Early Warnings / Variations.
  • Provide feedback to subcontractors throughout project duration and on completion.
  • Attend and add value to the monthly client meetings.
  • Keep accurate records of site activities undertaken and events.
  • Manage the change process in conjunction with the extended team.
  • Promotion and development of the company's sales and advertising.

Requirements

Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in the fit-out and/or construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of fit-out processes, construction methods, and building regulations.
  • Experience managing fast-track or high-specification projects across sectors such as commercial real estate, workplace, retail, life science, public, healthcare, leisure and hospitality or logistics and distribution.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong financial and commercial awareness, with experience handling budgets and contracts (e.g., JCT).
  • Ambitious and driven personality with a hunger for success.
  • Committed to accuracy and attention detail, getting it right first time.
  • Ability to understand the client’s perspective and needs.
  • Be able to liaise and communicate effective with the client and all stakeholders.
