Job Role

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to lead and deliver fast-paced fit-out and construction projects across various sectors. You will manage the entire project lifecycle, from pre-construction to handover, ensuring quality, safety, programme, and budget targets are met. This role requires strong leadership, commercial acumen, and the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.

Role and Responsibilities

  1. Take full ownership of multiple fit-out and/or construction projects from tender to completion.
  2. Develop and manage detailed project plans, including procurement schedules, programmes, and resourcing.
  3. Lead project teams, including site managers, subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers.
  4. Ensure all work complies with client specifications, building regulations, and company standards.
  5. Monitor and control budgets, costs, and cash flow; manage variations and contractual obligations.
  6. Chair regular progress meetings with clients, design teams, and stakeholders.
  7. Act as the key point of contact between the client and site team, ensuring strong communication and satisfaction.
  8. Oversee health & safety compliance on-site, working with site teams to ensure a safe working environment.
  9. Review and sign off on RAMS, drawings, programmes, and quality documentation.
  10. Manage risk, resolve site issues promptly, and ensure timely delivery and quality handover.
  11. Implement systems for both commercial and operational activities.
  12. Maintain an excellent level of IT knowledge, including Microsoft Office, MS Project, and Asta.
  13. Procurement experience and ability to analyze client procurement needs.
  14. Understanding programming and contracts.
  15. Raising Early Warnings / Variations.
  16. Provide feedback to subcontractors throughout the project and upon completion.
  17. Participate in and add value to monthly client meetings.
  18. Keep accurate records of site activities and events.
  19. Manage change processes with the extended team.
  20. Promote and develop the company's sales and advertising efforts.

Requirements & Skills

  1. Proven experience as a Project Manager in the fit-out and/or construction industry.
  2. Strong knowledge of fit-out processes, construction methods, and building regulations.
  3. Experience managing fast-track or high-specification projects across sectors such as commercial real estate, workplace, retail, life sciences, healthcare, leisure, hospitality, logistics, and distribution.
  4. Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  5. Strong financial and commercial awareness, with experience handling budgets and contracts (e.g., JCT).
  6. Ambitious, driven, and successful mindset.
  7. Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  8. Ability to understand and address client needs effectively.
  9. Effective communication and liaison skills with clients and stakeholders.
  10. Influencing skills in client management.
  11. Ability to manage multiple projects and relationships simultaneously.
  12. Proactive and able to work independently.
  13. Negotiation, listening, communication, presentation, and time management skills.
  14. Friendly, approachable, and articulate demeanor.
  15. Ability to work well within a small, close-knit team.
