Job Introduction

We are seeking an enthusiastic and innovative individual to serve as an internal Project Lead on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The role involves collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to establish a Project Management Office (PMO) and understanding our data and operational needs. The goal is to incorporate these needs into new front and back office systems, while establishing a project governance environment and supporting key stakeholders through this organizational change.

This position offers a salary between £50,000 and £60,000 annually. We are open to considering a comparable day rate within this range, which would be within IR35 regulations.

Job Title: Project Manager

Reporting to: Chief Financial Officer

Salary: £50,000-£60,000 depending on experience

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Support the Eden Executive Team (EET) in establishing a project governance environment in an organization that has not previously benefited from a formal PMO.
  2. Ensure buy-in from internal and external stakeholders and facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
  3. Coordinate with external project teams to lead the implementation of new SaaS systems, ensuring alignment with business objectives and timelines.
  4. Work closely with the EET to identify new projects, define scope, goals, and deliverables.
  5. Manage and support existing staff to meet project milestones while balancing their core roles and other projects.
  6. Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
  7. Monitor project progress, identify issues, and implement corrective actions.
  8. Conduct regular project status meetings and report updates to senior management.
  9. Identify and report on project interdependencies to assess risks and provide an overview of project delivery.
  10. Prepare PMO oversight summaries for internal Project Board meetings.
  11. Provide or facilitate training and support on new systems and processes.

The Ideal Candidate

Experience and Knowledge:

  • Experience in the social care sector or related roles.

Essential Skills and Attributes:

  • Ability to operate independently outside of an established PMO environment and guide the EET through organizational change.
  • Experience leading SaaS implementation projects in people-centric organizations.
  • Demonstrated engagement with stakeholders, collecting feedback, and following up effectively.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills for information sharing and report writing.

Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills demonstrated in previous roles.
  • Good organizational skills for data collation, reporting, and operational support.
  • Proficiency with IT systems such as Word, Excel, and Microsoft Teams.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

Additional Requirements:

  • A clear DBS check due to the sensitive nature of data handled by the organization.
