J3A Recruitment are proud to be working with a major civils contractors with a proven record of successfully delivering complex civil engineering projects across AMP 7 - and now looking to strengthen their team as we move further into AMP 8.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join their Midlands operations and play a vital role in the delivery of major civils projects to water treatment works in and around the Severn Trent patch.

The business has ambitious plans to grow the Southern region into a £25m+ operation and this role offers the chance to play a pivotal part in that growth while shaping your own career development.

What you'll be doing
  • Full project management responsibility from cradle to grave across civil engineering and water sector schemes.
  • Lead health & safety, design, customer relations, quality, programme, and cost/value management.
  • Work closely with commercial teams on cost control, forecasting, and value management.
  • Provide leadership, mentoring, and positive management to site teams, ensuring delivery to deadlines and budgets.
What we're looking for
  • Proven experience managing civil engineering projects (water / wastewater).
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills with a calm, level-headed approach under pressure.
  • Commercially astute with strong understanding of NEC or ICC contracts.
  • Strong communicator with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ideally degree/HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or related subject.
  • SMSTS and relevant CSCS card essential.
  • NRSWA Supervisor, First Aid, or Black Card CSCS desirable.
