Project Manager - Regional Main Contractor - Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire

Fawkes & Reece are proud to be partnered with a SUNDAY TIMES "Best Places To Work" leading Regional Main Contractor working on a £26m new build SEN school. As Project Manager you will be responsible for the successful delivery of the project to client satisfaction and in accordance with my clients policies, procedures, cultural approach and construction excellence.

Responsibilities
  • Lead delivery as a single team, working collaboratively with our clients, subcontractors, design teams, and internal colleagues
  • Avoid resource issues by appropriately staffing projects and clearly defining roles and responsibilities for the project team
  • Continually monitor team performance, set objectives, and identify training or development needs
  • Set clear expectations, drive high performance, and foster positive, collaborative relationships with the supply chain
  • Support the production of, and be responsible for, communicating clear project expectations
  • Maintain project presentation, ensuring that site boundaries, roads, welfare and office areas are clean and tidy
  • Take responsibility for the health, safety and wellbeing of the project, leading by example and promoting a culture of health, safety and wellbeing
  • Identify, report and address any issues concerning the quality of the product in a timely manner
  • Mitigate losses due to waste, time, materials or substandard installations requiring re-work
  • Ensure the design is delivered in accordance with the design delivery plan, meets the brief, complies with legislation, and fits the scheme budget
  • Ensure there are no breaches in environmental law, minimise disruption, and take action to reduce adverse environmental impacts
Requirements
  • Hold a full driving licence, valid in the UK
  • Qualified at HNC level or above and hold a valid 5-day CITB SMSTS Certificate
  • Proven track record in controlling and managing large-scale construction projects including coordination of subcontractors
  • Experience in leadership with strong leadership qualities
  • Experience working with programming and web-based document storage software
  • Positive and professional attitude
  • Ability to work using own initiative but also as part of a close-knit team
  • Excellent computer literacy, fluent in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Proactive attitude towards delivering construction works to a world-class standard
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise with senior clients & subcontractors
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks
  • Positive approach to learning, development and progression
  • Flexible with hours worked
  • Working knowledge of current Health and Safety practice
