National Highways is seeking a Project Manager to join our Planning and Development team. You will be responsible for planning and managing a portfolio of projects within our 5-year capital programme, overseeing external contractors and ensuring compliance with governance, quality, health and safety standards.

This role can be based in Bristol or Exeter.

Responsibilities include:

• Developing relationships with stakeholders and managing delivery performance
• Programme management, financial reporting, and risk management
• Maintaining our reputation through stakeholder communication
• Driving improvements and best practices
• Managing risks and developing solutions

About you

• Recognized qualification in engineering or relevant experience
• Experience in project and portfolio management, with relevant certifications (e.g., MSP, APM, Prince2)
• Experience with NEC 4 contracts
• Knowledge of legislation, standards, and construction practices
