About

Software Project Manager

Hybrid working in Horsham, West Sussex offices. We are proud to be recruiting for a global software company with lovely offices in Horsham who are looking for an experienced Project Manager to work three days in the office and two days remote per week in this new PM role.

We are looking for a Project Manager to work on multiple client-facing software development projects for their software platform, which has been a market leader for many years. As a Software PM, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the successful execution of software projects from start to finish, managing several projects concurrently while working closely with clients to ensure successful delivery on time and within budget.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Project Initiation & Planning
  • Collaborate with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders to discuss new projects and proposals.
  • Define project scope, set deadlines, and create project plans.
  • Assemble project teams and allocate roles.
  • Produce and maintain clear project schedules.
  1. Project Execution
  • Manage day-to-day project activities, ensuring projects stay on schedule.
  • Monitor project budgets and resource allocation.
  • Track milestones, KPIs, and project progress.
  • Lead meetings and provide updates to stakeholders.
Other Tasks
  • Build and manage relationships and dependencies across the project team, the client, partners, and suppliers.
  • Create a trusting team environment with open communication.
  • Work closely with the Quality department to test, assess, and evaluate project quality.
  • Identify and manage project risks.
  • Liaise with relevant client and internal stakeholders for changes and negotiations.
  • Ensure software quality standards are met.
  • Properly document project closure.
  • Implement lessons learned and best practices to improve future outcomes.
  • Perform other reasonable duties as required.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent PM certifications and experience.
  • Strong project management, planning, and client delivery experience.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills.
  • Commercial experience with Waterfall and Agile software development methodologies.
