Job summary

Caerphilly County Borough Council is recruiting to support the Development and Strategy team in delivering the 1000 new affordable, low‑carbon homes by 2033. The role requires detailed project management across multi‑agency collaboration, NEC contract awareness, and a valid Category B driving licence for travel across the borough and beyond.

Qualifications

• Level 4/5/6 qualification on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales.
• Experience of project management of multi-agency, collaborative, complex projects.

Job description

This position offers an excellent opportunity to become part of our team and provide support across the organisation. We pay an attractive salary of £44,253- £47,665and offer access to training and development opportunities. This is an exciting new post within the Development and Strategy team that has been created to specifically drive and help deliver much needed new homes. The team is already on its way to delivering the 1000 new, affordable, low carbon home Cabinet ambition by 2033 and requires additional support to help increase the scale and pace of delivery. If you are someone who has an eye for detail, who has an awareness of NEC contract management, is financially astute and can matrix manage multiple projects, contractors and people, then we would love to hear from you. For the role, we ask that you have:

• A relevant Level 4, 5 or 6 qualification on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales.
• Experience of project management of multi-agency, collaborative, complex projects.
• A Full UK Category B driving license and the use of a motor vehicle insured for business / work purposes to travel throughout the borough and beyond to attend meetings with consultants / developers and visit sites.
