Job Summary:
Parkside Recruitment is looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead projects from inception to completion. The role involves coordinating with internal teams, managing timelines, ensuring quality standards, and liaising with clients to deliver successful outcomes. The ideal candidate will have excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee end-to-end project lifecycles: from initial planning and resource allocation to final delivery and post-project evaluation.
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure timely and within-budget completion.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams: engineering, production, quality control, to align project goals.
- Act as the main point of contact for clients: maintaining communication and providing updates on progress and issues.
- Ensure compliance with technical specifications, industry standards, and quality control throughout the project.
- Monitor project risks and implement mitigation strategies to prevent delays.
- Prepare project documentation: plans, status reports, reviews.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend efficiency enhancements.
- Manage subcontractors and suppliers for timely delivery.
- Ensure health and safety regulations compliance during projects.
- Support sales with project scoping and technical input during proposals.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in a precision engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, hybrid).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client and team management.
- Solid experience in budget management, project planning, and resource allocation.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Problem-solving skills to address project challenges.
- Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Trello).
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related.
- PMP, PRINCE2, or similar certification.
- Experience in sectors like aerospace, automotive, or medical engineering.
- Knowledge of LEAN or Six Sigma methodologies is advantageous.
