Turn this role into an interview — a resume and cover letter built around what this employer wants.
Tetra Tech in the United Kingdom leads defence infrastructure projects, delivering programmes from feasibility to commissioning with multidisciplinary teams. You will drive project delivery, manage budgets and contracts, and ensure safety, quality and on‑time performance across complex civil and building works.
The role requires experience in defence programmes and familiarity with NEC3/NEC4, plus relevant PM qualifications. Some travel to sites and SC clearance readiness are expected.
Build your career delivering infrastructure that matters. Join Tetra Tech’s established Defence team and lead complex, high-profile projects for the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO), working alongside experienced technical specialists across multidisciplinary programmes.
As a Project Manager, you’ll take ownership of defence infrastructure projects through the full lifecycle, from feasibility and planning through construction to commissioning. Working across buildings and civil engineering programmes, you’ll coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage commercial and contractual requirements, and maintain a clear focus on safe, timely and high-quality delivery.
You’ll join an experienced team with opportunities to broaden your technical knowledge, strengthen your defence-sector expertise and take on increasingly complex project challenges.
You’ll create the structure, momentum and collaboration needed to keep projects moving. By managing programme, cost, risk, quality, change and stakeholder relationships, you’ll help ensure contractual commitments are met while providing clients with confidence in project performance.
You’ll also support a high-performing team culture, building strong relationships and helping colleagues achieve excellent outcomes.
You’ll bring proven project management experience within a complex technical environment. NEC3/NEC4 experience, a recognised project management qualification or relevant professional accreditation is advantageous. Familiarity with MS Project, Excel, Viewpoint for Projects and CEMAR is beneficial. You’ll need SC clearance, or be suitable to obtain it, and a valid driving licence is desirable.
Projects are located across East Anglia, Northamptonshire, Gloucestershire and Yorkshire, with travel to project sites required. The specific office attendance expectations and availability of hybrid, remote or flexible working arrangements are not defined in the current role information and should be confirmed as part of the recruitment process.
