Job description

Shift delivers AI agents that transform insurers' most critical work. By combining deep industry expertise and unmatched data resources, Shift provides proven results that have earned the trust of hundreds of the world's leading insurers. Our insurance-grade AI is accurate, explainable, and secure—empowering human experts to move with unmatched speed, total confidence, and a renewed focus on the people they serve.

Our culture is built on innovation, trust, and a drive to transform the insurance industry through our SaaS platform. We come from more than 50 different countries and cultures and together we are creating the future of insurance.

As part of the UK Project Management team, you will be central to how Shift delivers for its clients.

You will own complex, client-facing projects from planning through execution, bringing structure, clarity and momentum across Delivery, Data Science, Product, Engineering, GTM and customer teams.

This role is suited to an experienced Project Manager who is already comfortable operating independently, but who also values coaching, feedback and continuous development. You will be expected to anticipate issues before they escape, challenge ambiguity, improve how we work and bring practical ideas that strengthen delivery.

What You’ll Do
  • Own the end-to-end delivery of complex enterprise software projects across the UK portfolio
  • Build and maintain credible delivery plans, milestones, dependencies, RAID registers, decision logs and governance rhythms
  • Connect Shift’s Delivery, Data Science, Product, Engineering and GTM teams with the customer’s technical and business stakeholders
  • Anticipate delivery, resource, commercial and customer risks early, then bring clear options and recommendations
  • Drive actions to closure with named owners and dates, rather than relying on broad email chains or unclear follow-up
  • Provide concise, fact-based reporting for customers and senior leadership
  • Maintain accurate project and portfolio information across the relevant systems, including Salesforce, Jira and delivery-planning tools
  • Lead customer workshops, governance meetings, Steering Committees and recovery discussions where required
  • Support pre-sales and opportunity shaping by validating scope, delivery methodology, assumptions, resource needs, timelines and Statements of Work
  • Challenge unsupported commitments constructively and ensure Delivery and technical assumptions are understood before plans are positioned externally
  • Manage several workstreams or clients at the same time without losing control of detail, priorities or customer outcomes
  • Improve delivery practices through reusable templates, smarter workflows, automation and practical use of AI
  • Contribute to strategic UK and wider Delivery initiatives that make execution more predictable, repeatable and scalable
What You Bring
  • At least 5 years of experience delivering IT, SaaS, data, analytics or enterprise transformation projects
  • Strong experience managing complex, client-facing implementations involving multiple internal and external teams
  • The ability to operate independently, make sound judgments and know when to escape
  • A proactive and pre-emptive mindset. You identify what is likely to go wrong and act before it becomes a problem
  • Strong ownership and follow-through. You do not wait to be chased
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to make complex situations clear and actionable
  • Confidence working with senior customer stakeholders and internal leaders
  • Strong planning, governance, risk management and decision-management skills
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to understand how scope, effort, cost, margin and customer commitments affect Delivery
  • Comfort working in ambiguity and bringing order to incomplete or changing information
  • A continuous-improvement mindset, with evidence of introducing better tools, templates, processes or ways of working
  • Openness to coaching and mentoring, alongside the maturity to challenge constructively and bring your own ideas
  • Experience with tools such as Salesforce, Jira, Atlassian, Asana, Monday.com , or similar delivery/PMO platforms.
  • Native or fully fluent English
  • Experience in insurance, fraud, data science or regulated industries would be beneficial but not essentials
  • PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, Scrum or similar certification is advantageous but not essential
What Good Looks Like
  • Risks are surfaced early, not hidden
  • Customers receive clear, consistent and evidence-based updates
  • Plans reflect reality and are kept current
  • Actions always have an owner and a date
  • Delivery, Data Science and GTM remain aligned
  • Escalations come with options and recommendations
  • Repetitive work becomes templated, automated or removed
  • Lessons from one project improve the next
Interview Process
  • Talent Acquisition
  • Case Study + UK Team
  • Head of UK Delivery
  • Global Head of Delivery
