PROJECT MANAGER

Location: WFH and/or Burnley

Travel Required: Occasional

Role and Responsibilities

Responsible for the safe delivery of projects relevant to the area of expertise.

Quoting
  1. Responsible for working with the relevant sales rep or Commercial Manager and accurately compiling quotes on the system ensuring that:
    1. Maximising the required gross margins
    2. Client data is correct
    3. Contacts are correct
    4. Customer purchase orders are received and inputted
    5. Items are priced as per the up-to-date system price list (ask for help on non-line item prices)
    6. New customer and credit checking procedures are followed
    7. Recording accurately all notes, comments, emails, attachments, and complaints in CRM
Project Management
  1. Responsible for the safe delivery of projects within key sectors and areas of expertise
  2. Create and deliver project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements, working with the sales, finance, and operations team
  3. Identify resources and assign responsibilities
  4. Manage day-to-day operational aspects of the project(s)
  5. Ensure project documents are complete, current, and appropriately stored
  6. Work with customers and suppliers to define and document questions, liaise with the business, as well as other stakeholders
  7. Submit project status reports to stakeholders; anticipate and react to changes
  8. Ensure all aspects of Health and Safety are factored in
  9. Update Projects on CRM constantly
  10. Maximise the required gross margins when planning projects ensuring cost control is maintained throughout, and purchase orders are correctly raised to cover additional works
  11. Negotiate with suppliers to ensure that the best value quotes are obtained
Site Customer Visits
  1. Conduct site visits as and when required and report on their progress
  2. Ensure that milestone reviews and payments are completed and followed up
  3. Ensure that meetings with clients are conducted in the most efficient ways possible (face-to-face, digital, telephone)
Customer Contact
  1. Maintain a healthy relationship with current clients to ensure future opportunities are explored
  2. Actively seek new potential customers and cross-sell products and services
  3. Report all activity in the company CRM
