An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Manager to deliver critical instrumentation projects across the West Midlands and Wales on a 12-month contract. This is a chance to drive impactful work within a global healthcare innovator, known for advancing medical diagnostics that directly improve patient outcomes.
Working on medium to high complexity projects from tender award through to full implementation, the Project Manager will play a key role in ensuring seamless delivery and exceptional client satisfaction. This is a field-based contract requiring flexibility to travel to client laboratory sites and occasional visits to the company's regional hub in Burgess Hill.
Your role as Project Manager
Oversee end-to-end delivery of laboratory instrumentation projects, managing everything from detailed planning through to final snagging and handover.
Build and maintain robust project governance frameworks, collaborating closely with senior leadership and technical teams to keep initiatives on track.
Serve as the primary point of escalation on-site, resolving issues quickly and keeping all stakeholders well-informed on risks, timelines and changes.
Coordinate internal delivery teams to ensure projects meet time, quality, and customer engagement standards post-award.
Partner with Associate Project Managers to embed consistent processes, tools, and templates across all project activities.
Act as the key client liaison on-site, monitoring construction and installation progress, and driving swift resolutions to any challenges.
Experience and qualifications for the Project Manager role
Demonstrates a solid track record managing complex projects, ideally within healthcare, diagnostics, or laboratory settings.
Brings exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills, able to communicate effectively at all levels.
Commercially savvy, with experience developing compelling client proposals and detailed statements of work.
Comfortable taking ownership, making critical decisions and steering projects through periods of change.
Fluent in written and spoken English.
