Responsibilities:
- Supervise and evaluate soil investigation activities, ensuring accurate recording of soil and rock data.
- Plan and execute field tests, including Pressuremeter Test, Vane Shear Test, and other in-site tests, with proper documentation of results.
- Interpret ground conditions and classify soil/rock materials based on field and laboratory data.
- Prepare detailed site investigation and engineering reports, including geological mapping and subsurface profiling.
- Support and supervise instrumentation works related to ground monitoring.
- Lead and coordinate project planning, resource allocation, and execution of soil investigation works.
- Ensure fieldwork is carried out in accordance with project timelines, quality standards, and safety regulations.
- Facilitate the pplication and compliance of Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems.
- Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure smooth progress and resolution of technical issues.
- Attend project meetings and present updates on project status, underground conditions, and technical findings.
- Monitor field activities to ensure adherence to safety protocols and assist safety personnel in maintaining safe work environments.
- Implement quality control measures for data accuracy, field procedures, and report submissions.
- Ensure compliance with local authority requirements and client expectations.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and stakeholders to manage expectations and address project-related concerns.
- Support commercial aspects such as progress claims, variation orders, and contract documentation.
- Provide timely reporting and communication to senior management and clients.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Degree in Geology, Geological engineering or equivalent
- 8 to 15 years working experience in Singapore or Malaysia
- Strong understanding of geotechnical field testing, soil classification, and report preparation.
- Proven experience in project coordination, team supervision, and client interfacing.
- Familiarity with local regulatory requirements
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
- Salary: $4000 to $6000
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent (Min Qualification) - Geotechnical Engineering
