Job summary

Viasat UK seeks a results-driven Project Manager to deliver projects through their full lifecycle, leading a multi-disciplinary engineering and delivery team to meet time, cost and quality targets. You will use your excellent communication and organisational skills to ensure clear outcomes and foster customer intimacy, driving growth and managing change.

As a results-driven PM reporting to the Programme Director, you will manage stakeholders, cross-departmental work, and RAID/Change Control

Qualifications

• Multiple years of project management in a technical environment.
• Qualified to APMP/Prince 2 Practitioner (or equivalent).
• UK national and able to achieve DV clearance.
• Role requires onsite presence at Farnborough for a minimum of 3 days per week.
• Strong working knowledge of common project management methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Project reporting, including scheduling, financial reporting, budgeting and risk management.
• Stakeholder management (Internal and External).
• Cross-departmental working and matrix management of multi-disciplinary delivery teams.
• Internal and Customer Progress Meetings (Teams and F2F).
• Effort estimating, Scheduling, Resource planning and Time Management.
• RAID Identification and Management; Change Control.
• Compilation of whitepapers, bids and proposals with content, cost and scheduling information.

As a results driven Project Manager reporting to the Programme Director, you be responsible for delivering projects through their full lifecycle to time, cost and quality. Managing a multi-disciplinary engineering team and co-ordinating a multi-functional delivery team, you will utilise your excellent communication and organisational skills to ensure the team fully understand their outcomes and objectives whilst fostering collaborative relationships to develop customer intimacy to drive growth and manage change

What you’ll need

• Multiple years experience of project Management in a technical environment
• Qualified to APMP/Prince 2 Practitioner (or equivalent)
• UK national and able to achieve DV clearance
• Role requires you to be onsite in our Farnborough location for a minimum of 3 days per week
• Strong working knowledge of common project management methodologies

What will help you on the job

• Strong relationship builder
• Knowledge of project delivery to MoD and /or secure communications
• Good working knowledge of MS Office including MS Project
