Project Manager - Permanent Stansted Airport Interiors & Fit-Out
Location: Stansted Airport (gateway to Europe, Greggs, and inevitable delays)
Salary: Competitive (we're not saying it's private jet money, but it's definitely not Ryanair either)
Projects: 100k- 5mil - fast-paced, high-spec, airside works
About the role:
We're on the lookout for a proper Project Manager. Not a clipboard carrier. Not a glorified assistant. Not someone who once "helped out" on a 100m job.
We want a hands-on, all-rounder, sleeves-rolled-up Number 1 on site who gets the job done, keeps the team sane, and knows their way around an airport security pass.
This is interiors and refurb work at Stansted Airport - Emirates-style lounges, offices, toilets that sparkle like a toothpaste advert, even the odd part-new-build thrown in for good measure.
Framework projects range from 100k to 5mil. It's not Grand Designs, but it's busy, interesting, and needs someone who can juggle trades, logistics, and client updates without crying in the van.
Who you are:
You're a construction-savvy site No1 - knows when to lead, when to listen, and when to get the kettle on
You've run your own projects, not just assisted while hiding in the porta-cabin
Fit-out and internals experience in sectors like retail, commercial, health or hospitality
You thrive in live environments - airports, hospitals, schools - where you can't just bulldoze your way to progress
SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid
About the company:
They're a rock-solid interiors specialist with serious financial backing and a pipeline longer than a baggage claim queue. Big enough to have proper processes, small enough to still know your name. Working closely with top-tier contractors.
What you'll get:
A steady flow of cracking projects - not one gig and ghost
Real autonomy - no micromanaging from head office 200 miles away
A culture that actually respects site teams (yes, really)
Career progression that isn't a PowerPoint myth
The joy of telling people, Yeah, I built that every time you fly out of STN
Yes, the above may sound like a bit of fun - but I'm a serious recruiter, working with a serious contractor. This is a genuinely great role.
