We are working with an expanding principal contractor based in Crawley. They are looking for a Project Manager/Estimator. Your primary responsibilities will include administrating pre-construction professional services contracts and assisting within their estimating team. You will create estimates for a range of hot and cold rolled steel projects, with values from GBP50k up to GBP5m.

Key Responsibilities

1. Liaise with prospective clients to determine their pre-construction professional service requirements.
2. Create estimates for pre-construction services, including soil, as-built and topographical surveys, architectural & planning services, civil, drainage & structural engineering, and building control.
3. Collaborate with the network of consultants to obtain up-to-date pricing.
4. Manage all live professional service contracts, including:

• Diary management and booking consultants for site surveys.
• Attending site meetings with consultants conducting surveys.
• Following up on results and reports.
• Communicating all results to clients.
• Managing payment plans for contracts, including deposits and completion payments.
• Overseeing the payment of consultants upon completion of their services.
• Estimating steel frame building projects, including groundwork and construction, using online software and Excel.

Key Skills

• Proficiency in IT, especially the Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience with online project management systems.
• Excellent communication skills within the office team and with clients.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• Valid driving license is essential.
