About SD Marine Interiors

SD Marine Interiors is a specialist in high-quality marine interior outfitting, delivering exceptional projects for the global marine industry. With a strong focus on craftsmanship, innovation, and customer satisfaction, we take pride in creating outstanding interior environments at sea.

We are currently looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our interiors team. While marine interiors experience is preferred, we also welcome applications from project managers within other marine disciplines or those with interior fit-out experience in land-based sectors.

Role Overview

The Project Manager will lead marine interior outfitting projects in the UK and overseas, managing all phases from planning through to on-site delivery. This role offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects with a supportive and experienced team.

Key Objectives

·Take ownership of projects from initial brief through to final delivery, defining timelines, scope, budgets, and risk management strategies.

·Collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners to ensure successful delivery in line with agreed project parameters.

·Track project progress, providing regular updates, and proactively adjust plans to keep delivery on time and within budget.

·Act as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders, fostering strong working relationships and ensuring clear, consistent communication throughout the project.

Key Responsibilities

·Implement and maintain project processes to manage scope, ensure quality standards, and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle.

·Build and manage partnerships with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to support seamless project delivery.

·Allocate and coordinate resources to maximise efficiency and ensure key deliverables are met.

·Provide regular reporting on project status, risks, and outcomes, escalating issues when required to keep the project on track.

Required Skills & Experience

·Proven experience managing marine interior outfitting projects.

·Excellent organisational skills with a strong focus on meeting deadlines and budget targets.

·Confident communicator, able to engage and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.

·Strong written and verbal communication skills.

·Effective on-site management capabilities.

·Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.

Work Environment

This role is primarily based at our Southampton office with flexibility for hybrid/home working to suit individual preferences. Travel across the UK and internationally is required, which may include short-notice trips and extended stays away from home.
