About the Opportunity

Jacobs is recruiting for a Project Manager to join our Nuclear Power Engineering and Technical Services team supporting our key client EDF Energy Nuclear Generation with their nuclear fleet in the UK.

This is a key role within our Project Management Resource team, which is spread across our UK network at all UK sites and stations. You will be supported and mentored by experienced project management professionals within Jacobs and given the training and opportunities you need to develop and expand your project management, business development, and leadership skills with larger and more complex projects.

Since 1988, Torness Power Station has generated over 282 TWh of electricity, enough power for every home in Scotland for 29 years. Key Responsibilities

1. Project Managers are accountable to the client PPM for successful delivery of all aspects of their assigned projects. They set the project execution strategy in agreement with the client PPM and use a cross-functional project team to deliver the project safely, in line with company policies and procedures, achieving goals within the agreed baseline.
2. The role will be based at EDF's Torness Power Station, with occasional travel to other UK sites. Flexible working arrangements may be possible, but the role will predominantly be based at the Power Station. You will report to the Jacobs Operations Manager but be directly responsible for project delivery to the client.
3. All team members should have experience working within highly regulated environments with high safety standards and culture.
4. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential, with the ability to develop relationships, maintain effective networks, and be results-focused with a team-centered approach.

What You'll Need

We require you to have an APMP formal project management qualification or equivalent, and be well-versed in modern project management techniques within complex, multi-functional organizations.

Additionally, you should have:

• A thorough understanding of engineering, design, procurement, safety case, construction, installation/commissioning management, and commercial contracting.
• An understanding of Safety Cases, relevant Health and Safety and Environment legislation including CDM, and the actions needed for compliance.
• An appreciation of quality assurance and control, along with experience in commercial, contractual, and financial project drivers.
• Demonstrable experience managing projects throughout the full lifecycle, ideally across complex, multi-discipline projects, including management of an integrated project team.
• Knowledge of estimating, cost control, planning, and commercial awareness, including preparing business cases and funding papers.
• Experience working at Power Stations and Nuclear Licensed Sites is advantageous.
