An opportunity has arisen for a Project Manager to join Galliford Try within our Environment Business.
Ideally, you will be based in or around the Normanton area and will have the opportunity to travel across multiple sites/projects in the region.
You will work on our Yorkshire Water Frameworks within our Environment Business, which are experienced in delivering schemes of varying sizes, mainly in the Water Industry, across Treatment Waste and Water schemes.
Reporting to the Delivery Manager, supporting the Project Delivery Team, you will be responsible for managing Mechanical, Electrical, and Civil installation schemes.
Day-to-day, you will manage multiple concurrent projects across the Framework to ensure successful delivery against KPIs, complying with Health & Safety regulations, including CDM and Environmental legislation.
Your role is a key link in the supply chain, liaising with departments such as tendering and design to allocate resources and meet client requirements. You will coordinate with suppliers, sub-contractors, in-house teams, and site crews, demonstrating flexibility, resilience, and relationship-building skills, with strong ethical standards.
You will also oversee the financial performance of each project, participating in monthly reviews with the Commercial Manager and ensuring accurate financial reporting by Project Engineers.
You will actively develop project programmes with the Project Planner, driving projects to milestones, and work with the team on design and project requirements to optimize performance.
Creating a safe, collaborative environment is a priority; you will be responsible for health and safety for yourself and others, fostering a safety culture.
You should have industry-relevant ONC/HNC/NVQ or equivalent qualifications, with extensive experience in the water and sewage industries.
We seek a strong team player who can also work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
Having a CSCS card and IOSH or CITB SMSTS certification is preferred.
