A leading construction firm in Crawley is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee a £60 million school project. The role requires expertise in managing construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring compliance with UK regulations and high-quality standards. Can you be the driving force as our Construction Project Manager (No1) delivering one of our school project schemes in the West Sussex area? The project is valued at £60 million. We require an experienced construction professional who is well versed in the delivery of a project from cradle to grave, with the ability to work as No1 on the project. This project embodies our commitment to sustainability and innovative design, incorporating low carbon, sustainable materials and a concrete frame. We will also adopt an enhanced quality construction approach through consistent off-site manufacturing to reduce waste and defects.
You will be solely responsible for the economic and safe management of the site, overseeing progress, workmanship, health, safety, environmental, and quality standards by ensuring adequate and proper labor, plant, materials, and sub-contractor resources are available and properly directed to meet the contract requirements.
To be solely responsible for the project, health, safety, and environment, as outlined in the Health and Safety Management System. Liaise with the appointed Health and Safety Advisor when needed. Lead by example, ensuring high standards in all working relationships. Manage subcontractors and suppliers effectively, in collaboration with the project team. Work with commercial and procurement teams to protect the company's financial and contractual interests. Ensure adherence to company processes and standards laid out in the Business Quality Management System. Manage all disciplines including surveying, design management, buying, planning, human resources, health, safety, and environment to provide effective project management.
