Job Title: Project Manager

Reporting to: Business Unit General Manager

Purpose of the Position:

This role focuses on the safe, efficient delivery of work to the highest possible standards, and exceptional delivery of projects within safety and quality standards, budget, and time constraints. The ideal candidate will maximize productivity, control costs and programme, and maintain effective stakeholder communication to build trust.

This position reports directly to the Business Unit General Manager.

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Manage and deliver all assigned projects.
• Lead and promote a positive health, safety, wellbeing, and quality culture.
• Assist preconstruction with project cost, programmes, resource profiles, and technical submissions.
• Ensure effective preconstruction handover processes.
• Conduct project and site audits to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
• Manage project contracts and change processes.
• Monitor, report, and update on project data and KPIs.
• Timely placement of contracts/subcontracts, including RfQ development and terms review.
• Ensure timely application for payments.
• Promote best practices for optimal resource utilization.
• Challenge and improve processes and methodologies.
• Encourage ownership and commercial awareness among staff.
• Lead updates to work programmes and resource schedules.
• Resource allocation in collaboration with the General Manager.
• Act as a role model for company values.

Governance:

Interface with key stakeholders including HR, the General Manager, clients, and team members.

Person Specification

Qualifications and experience

• Proven track record in managing large-scale projects.
• Experience in meeting targets, managing budgets, programmes, and project metrics.
• Experience managing project change and health, safety, wellbeing, and quality.
• Ability to collaborate, plan, motivate, and prioritize customer-centric decision making.

Desirable criteria

• Experience in Transmission and Distribution or related infrastructure disciplines.
• Recognized project management qualification (e.g., APMP Level D).
