Qualifications

  • Proven end-to-end project management experience in the HVAC industry (VRF Preferred).
  • Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems and their integration into complex, multi-trade construction projects.
  • Demonstrable experience working with chillers and HVAC equipment across commercial or industrial projects.

We are now seeking a VRF Project Manager to lead the full execution of mainly VRF Air Conditioning Installation HVAC projects across End User and Main Contractor sites. From the initial sales handover to final completion, you’ll ensure projects are delivered safely, profitably, and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities


• Manage all aspects of project delivery, including in depth financials, scheduling, logistics, and site team coordination
• Act as the primary point of contact for all Johnson Controls project management activities related to your projects
• Oversee procurement, warehousing, and subcontractor management
• Coordinate material deliveries, manage site logistics, and oversee customs compliance for international shipments
• Ensure Health & Safety standards are upheld throughout the project lifecycle
• Provide technical oversight of HVAC system delivery and manage the integration within end user and main contractor-led projects
• Attend project meetings, monitor progress, and uphold compliance and quality
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and suppliers
• Set performance expectations and development plans for direct and subcontract labour
• Assist in O&M and final Handover with the engineering team

Role Requirements


Essential
• Proven end-to-end project management experience in the HVAC industry (VRF Preferred)
• Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems and their integration into complex, multi-trade construction projects managed by main contractors, including oversight through the commissioning phase
• Demonstrable experience working with chillers and a wide range of HVAC equipment across commercial or industrial projects
• Financial oversight, procurement, and team leadership skills
• Contract management and supervisory experience of both direct and subcontract labour
• Experience overseeing logistics, including deliveries and customs clearance
• Experience of running Design & Build Projects
• Demonstrable knowledge of CDM Regulations and handling Health & Safety on site
• Experience acting as a principal contractor under current CDM regulations.
• Experience in conducting safety audits and inspections.
• Excellency in verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience.
• Proficiency in using MS Teams and Sharepoint for collaboration and document management


Preferred
• Project management certification
• IOSH, NEBOSH, SMSTS, or CSCS qualifications
• Knowledge of PSSR and BS EN378
• VRF Design and Working Knowledge experience
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project applications
• Knowledge of contract law and its application in construction projects.
• Ability to review, negotiate, and manage contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
