Project Manager

Are you an experienced Project Manager looking to take on diverse and challenging projects in an innovative engineering environment? We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team, managing the full lifecycle of bespoke automation and engineering solutions for a broad range of industries.

About the Role

As a Project Manager, you will play a key role in delivering full turnkey automation solutions, overseeing projects from initial concept and costing through to final delivery and installation. You will work closely with internal teams and clients, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities of a Project Manager:

  1. Develop and manage project budgets, tracking costs and reporting financial status to stakeholders.
  2. Create and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely progress updates and reporting.
  3. Allocate and coordinate project resources effectively across multiple teams.
  4. Identify and mitigate project risks, implementing proactive solutions.
  5. Manage change control processes and ensure all documentation is maintained.
  6. Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication and exceptional service.
  7. Lead customer acceptance and qualification activities in collaboration with validation engineers.
  8. Ensure compliance with internal quality standards and industry regulations.

What We’re Looking For in a Project Manager:

  1. 3 years of project management experience within an engineering, automation, or technical environment.
  2. Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  3. A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a "can-do" attitude.
  4. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  5. Knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices.
  6. Competency with MS Office and project management software.
  7. Willingness to travel globally on occasion (typically 2-4 weeks per year).
  8. Full UK driving licence.

Desirable Skills as a Project Manager:

  1. Experience in industries such as high-tech manufacturing, automation, or precision engineering.
  2. Ability to understand complex technical information and make informed commercial decisions.
  3. Experience working with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
