Overview

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Project Manager to join our dynamic and driven construction consultancy within our Residential sector.

Role

The Project Manager role consists of managing construction projects from outset to completion on all aspects of the project life cycle. You\'ll be working collaboratively with a varied team of construction professionals and stakeholders to allow projects to be delivered safely on time, and to budget whilst ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare consultant appointment documents, project briefs, KPIs, governance documents, and PEPs
  • Set up and maintain project systems and documents
  • Coordinate meetings, workshops and support risk and progress monitoring
  • Support procurement: develop strategy reports, assist with tendering and contract documentation
  • Engage in contractor negotiations for budgets and programmes
  • Provide contract administration or employer's agent duties: issue relevant certificates, administer contracts, and close out defects
  • Manage snagging, handover, and client move-in processes
  • Lead post-project reviews and support final account negotiations with the QS
  • Offer contractual advice throughout the project lifecycle, including claims and final settlements
  • Always take personal responsibility for the health and safety of self and others by working within the Health and Safety policy and procedures
  • Endeavour to improve our social and environmental impact
  • Any other duties as reasonably required of my role
Requirements
  • Ideally Chartered with RICS (MRICS), APM (ChPP) or CIOB (MCIOB)
  • Relevant experience working within the construction industry in a similar discipline
  • Ability to deliver a medium to large size project with minor support from senior staff
  • Excellent technical knowledge in all areas of BS/PM/Q
  • A client-centric outlook with a focus on the delivery of targets, quality and deadlines, meeting client objectives cost effectively
  • Ability to hold own in discussions and meetings with contractors and senior clients and other stakeholders
  • Ability to delegate tasks to assistants and support them on project activities
  • Ability to network and willingness to contribute towards business development and fee proposals, has knowledge of clients and competitors and actively pursues potential business leads
  • Understanding of the business, the other disciplines and their services offered
  • Comply with technical processes and procedures
  • Ability to deliver a project from inception through to final account
  • Working knowledge of CDM and construction Health & Safety
