Overview

About this Role: A leading residential developer who has an excellent reputation for delivering luxury houses is recruiting for a Project Manager to work on their latest scheme in Dorset.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Project Manager. This will suit someone that wants to work for a high-end residential developer, renowned for their bespoke developments and enjoys providing a quality house. You will need to be a career-driven individual who is looking for a Project Manager role with a company that have great stability. Experience in providing high-end residential units is preferred.

You will need to have impeccable communication skills, as the client is seeking an individual that is able to talk to sub-contractors and key stakeholders within the business.

The Role
  • Direct the team to deliver units according to the Build programme and sequencing
  • Build relationships and maintain strong communication between Commercial, Technical, Build and all other departments necessary
  • Lead the preparation of contract documents and negotiation and letting of contracts to target dates
  • Manage and promote strong working relationships with subcontractors and contractors involved at all stages of the project
  • Performance manage your site-based team, contractors and suppliers, identifying and anticipating problems and striving to resolve issues in a constructive manner
  • Benchmark costs and review budget control with the commercial team
  • Influence the Executive and Board position on the longer-term needs of the business to enable them to direct and influence key stakeholders such as planning for the long-term interests of the construction industry
  • Lead best practice for Health and Safety assurance; inspections, site setup and storage facilities
  • Show to be a strong promoter of the company's Quality Manual, Build Manual, CCS, HSE standards and NHBC guidelines
  • Manage your reports and weekly progress by maximising use of the right technology and tools
  • Lead and promote the importance of quality in all aspects of Production, particularly when dealing with tight deadlines

Requirements including certificates and qualifications
  • Proven Project Management experience with new homes builder / residential main contractor.
  • Candidates will be fully ticketed with CSCS, and SMSTS.
  • Experience leading projects for low to medium rise apartment developments as RC frame build
  • Minimum HNC qualification with a membership to an industry-recognised board, e.g. CIOB.
  • Able to resolve cost or time delivery issues in a methodical and productive manner
  • Confident making decisions and amending plans throughout the design to build stages
  • Strong people management skills
