Job description

Job Description

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for the operational and financial performance of the contract; delivering the work safely, on time, within budget, and to our Client’s expectations.

We have secured a long-term contract with SSE, providing support across their Overhead Line, PCB transformer Changes, and various dismantlement schemes across 11KV and 33KV.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Ensure all work within the contract under your control is carried out in full compliance with health, safety, welfare, and environmental regulations, while working to maximize the profitability of the contract and ensuring satisfaction of contractual requirements.
  2. Ensure compliance with the client’s authorization requirements and specifications, with the company standards of service and quality systems.
  3. Control documentation, working closely with the back-office support team.
  4. Ensure that the health and safety competence of subcontractor organizations and direct labor are assessed prior to commencing work.
  5. Assess the risks associated with our operations and ensure that the correct site-specific method statements and risk assessments are compiled in advance of works.
  6. Maintain a keen focus on the commercial aspects of the contract, ensuring we can deliver for our clients while maintaining profitability.
  7. Manage all resources, including labor, materials, and plant.
  8. Take pride in our delivery, with repeat business as a key measure of success.
  9. Demand safety and competence, including training requirements, and push for continuous improvement in all teams.
  10. Manage and motivate a team, delegating appropriately, but leading by example.
  11. Develop the people in your area through an organized approach.
Experience and Qualifications
  • Experience with Overhead Line, PCB transformer Changes, and dismantlement schemes across 11KV and 33KV.
  • Supervisor Street Works qualification.
  • Health & Safety qualification (an advantage).
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Good management skills.
  • Commercial awareness.
  • Clean Driving Licence.
