Job Purpose
A print & communications giant, whose turnover dominates a large proportion of the market share, has undergone further expansion due to unparalleled resources and financial backing. They have an exciting opportunity for a talented and experienced Project Manager to join this successful company and manage the end-to-end completion of their projects.
In this pivotal role, you will be the key interface with Sales during onboarding of new projects and the main handover point to the operations team, responsible for the effective transition of new services to clients in a fast-paced environment.
Principle Accountabilities
The following accountabilities are required for a Project Manager:
- Establishing project governance and creating supporting documentation.
- Adhering to defined processes between departments and using templates to deliver information timely.
- Creating high-level and detailed plans, questioning briefs and specifications, mapping deliverables and milestones, and obtaining client sign-off.
- Managing the delivery of solutions, coordinating contributions to ensure successful outcomes.
- Managing budgets throughout the project, highlighting risks via escalation routes.
- Conducting project planning, risk, and resource analysis across departments.
- Supporting testing development, scripting, and performance to ensure delivery of working solutions.
- Communicating with stakeholders throughout the project, adapting tone and method as appropriate.
- Managing operational readiness for 'go live', balancing risk and revenue.
- Managing risks within the project lifecycle, maintaining RAID logs, and escalating issues as needed.
- Overseeing change management processes, ensuring commercial coverage for scope changes.
- Supporting the sales cycle with documentation and presentations, clearly communicating to achieve outcomes.
- Identifying areas for improvement in delivery and solutions.
- Supporting face-to-face client meetings, gathering data, and preparing documentation.
- Managing customer relationships to ensure service delivery within budget and timelines, escalating issues when necessary.
Candidate Profile
We seek someone with extensive experience managing projects in the print industry, particularly transactional/bulk printing, records management, mail and distribution, and workflow automation. A general understanding of IT, including databases, SQL, and tables, is highly desirable. ITIL (Foundation) and Lean Six Sigma (Yellow Belt) certifications or methodologies are also preferred.
