Job summary

TRS Staffing Solutions seeks a skilled Project Manager to lead a high-profile Design & Build project in Regional Canterbury. You’ll drive planning, design coordination and delivery from start to finish, working with clients, consultants and site teams to ensure safety, programme adherence and quality.

You’ll manage a multi-disciplinary team on site, maintain strong client relationships, and navigate complex contractual requirements to deliver outstanding results.

Qualifications

• Proven project management experience with a commercial contractor.
• Experience delivering large commercial or industrial construction projects is essential.
• Strong planning, programming and NZ contract management skills.
• Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management abilities.

Design & Build Construction | Regional Canterbury

A highly respected Design & Build contractor is entering a new phase of growth and is looking to appoint a Project Manager to join its South Island team, leading the delivery of a major new construction project in regional Canterbury

The Opportunity

Based on site, you’ll take ownership of a large, technically challenging Design & Build project, leading the planning, design coordination, reporting and successful delivery from start to finish.

Working closely with clients, consultants, subcontractors and site teams, you’ll ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to an exceptional standard of quality while building strong relationships and consistently exceeding client expectations.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll be trusted to make decisions, solve problems and deliver outstanding outcomes.

Travel & benefits

The project is based in Regional Canterbury, so you’ll be comfortable working away from home Monday to Friday. All travel, accommodation and Living Away From Home Allowances are provided, allowing you to focus on the project while enjoying your weekends back at home.

About You

This role would suit a Project Manager who has successfully delivered large commercial or industrial construction projects valued at $20m+, enjoys technical challenges and takes pride in delivering projects through a collaborative, team-focused approach.
