Currently the team is split across these sites and you may be asked to work at any of the sites so that services can be maintained.

We need a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to help us support our clinical colleagues and laboratory teams with project delivery.

The successful candidate will be required to demonstrate an understanding of Project Management methodology with good interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team or to lead the project teams involved in the design, integration and implementation of new systems. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, as dealing with a wide range of clinical staff and associated professionals is a significant aspect of this role.

Main duties of the job

The role involves the comprehensive planning, organisation, and delivery of a range of projects spanning short, medium, and long-term timeframes. You will be responsible for ensuring the successful progression of projects from initiation through to completion, managing all aspects to achieve defined objectives. This includes developing detailed project plans, setting milestones, and coordinating resources efficiently to meet deadlines and budget constraints.

You will act as the key point of contact for stakeholders, maintaining clear and consistent communication to ensure alignment with organisational priorities and NHS standards. Monitoring and evaluating project performance is essential, requiring the identification and mitigation of risks and issues to maintain progress and quality outcomes.

The postholder will ensure compliance with NHS policies, governance frameworks, and statutory requirements throughout the project lifecycle. Collaboration across multidisciplinary teams and departments is critical, fostering a culture of shared accountability and continuous improvement.

Additionally, you will provide regular updates and reports to senior management, supporting informed decision-making and facilitating strategic planning. This role demands strong leadership, organisational skills, and the ability to adapt to changing demands within a dynamic healthcare environment.
