Pleavin Power, established in 2017 and headquartered in Bromborough, Wirral, is a leading specialist in generator repair, installation, maintenance, and control systems within the power generation sector.

Operating across some of the most critical infrastructure environments, the company delivers reliable power solutions for a wide range of industries. Due to continued growth and an expanding portfolio of projects, we are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Projects Team and support the delivery of high-value generator and power generation installations.

The Opportunity

The Project Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end management of generator and power generation projects, overseeing delivery from contract award through to installation, commissioning, and final client handover.

This role requires strong project leadership, technical coordination, and stakeholder management to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the required technical and quality standards.

The successful candidate will act as the primary interface between clients, internal engineering teams, suppliers, and installation contractors, ensuring effective communication and coordination throughout the project lifecycle.

Projects may involve work in highly varied and technically demanding environments, requiring regular travel across the UK and Europe. All travel, accommodation, and related expenses are covered.

Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery
  • Manage generator supply and installation projects from initial enquiry and contract award through to completion and handover.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, milestones, and resource allocations.
  • Coordinate cross-functional project activities including engineering, procurement, manufacturing, logistics, installation, and commissioning.
  • Ensure projects are delivered in line with client specifications, contractual requirements, and industry standards.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on project progress, risks, and milestones.
  • Monitor and manage project budgets, costs, and profitability.
  • Review and approve procurement activities and subcontractor expenditure.
  • Track and report key project performance indicators including schedule adherence, cost control, and quality performance.
  • Identify, manage, and mitigate risks that may impact project timelines, cost, or delivery.
Technical Coordination
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to review and validate generator system designs and technical specifications.
  • Oversee the installation of generator systems at client sites, ensuring work is delivered to specification.
  • Coordinate commissioning activities with engineers and technicians.
  • Ensure all testing, compliance documentation, and system handover procedures are completed correctly.
Health, Safety & Compliance
  • Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards both on-site and off-site.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure adherence to all relevant regulations and company policies.
Reporting & Performance
  • Provide regular project status updates and progress reports to senior management.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting throughout the lifecycle.
  • Ensure both personal and project performance KPIs are achieved and maintained.
Candidate Profile
  • Strong project planning, organisational, and coordination skills.
  • Proven experience managing project budgets, schedules, and resources.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Experience using project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or similar tools).
  • Professional and confident client-facing communication skills.
  • Knowledge or experience within power generation, generator systems, electrical distribution, or backup power solutions.
  • Experience managing installation projects in industrial or infrastructure environments.
Additional Requirements
  • Flexible and willing to travel regularly across the UK and Europe.
  • Full driving licence preferred.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
