At Cavendish Nuclear we’re working to create a safe and secure world, together, and if you join us, you can play your part as a Project Manager – Nuclear Projects at our Stoke Gifford, Bristol site.

The role

As a Project Manager, you will lead the delivery of a new and exciting large-scale nuclear project at the beginning of its lifecycle. This is a rare opportunity to shape a complex programme from the ground up, working within a dynamic team and contributing to the UK's clean energy future.

Day-to-day, you’ll

  • Lead on Health, Safety, Security, Environment and Quality across the project
  • Deliver the project to baseline schedule, cost and performance targets
  • Establish and maintain governance arrangements aligned with our Business Management System
  • Plan and monitor project profit and loss, and submit Monthly Review Reports
  • Manage customer relationships and oversee risk identification, mitigation and issue resolution

This is a permanent role, working 37 hours per week, based at our Bristol site. Hybrid working patterns are available, with 2–3 days per week expected on site.

Essential experience of the Project Manager:

  • Demonstrate proven experience in nuclear or other highly regulated industries
  • Manage projects with budgets exceeding £10 million
  • Apply Earned Value Management techniques to track and optimise performance

Qualifications for the Project Manager:

  • A recognised project management qualification (e.g. APM)
