Project Manager – Defence (SC Cleared)

Location: Bristol (Hybrid: 2–3 days on-site per week)

Type: Permanent

Salary: £50,000 – £70,000

Are you a Project Manager with experience in defence or MOD environments? Looking for a secure, long-term role with real impact on critical national programmes? Already SC cleared and within easy reach of Bristol? This could be your next step.

What You’ll Be Doing

Join a high-performing team delivering complex projects in the UK defence sector. You’ll lead projects from planning to delivery, ensuring outcomes on time, to budget, and to high standards. Typical programmes are high-value, secure, and involve cross-functional teams.

1. Lead delivery of defence-related engineering, digital, or infrastructure projects
2. Build and manage relationships with MOD stakeholders and delivery partners
3. Oversee project reporting, governance, scheduling, and progress tracking
4. Contribute to a collaborative, delivery-driven environment

What We’re Looking For

1. Project management experience in defence (MOD, DE&S, SDA, Defence Digital or similar)
2. Current and active SC clearance (DV also welcome, but not required)
3. Able to be on site in Bristol 2–3 days per week (hybrid working)
4. Strong communication and team leadership skills
5. Able to work across multidisciplinary teams and secure environments

Bonus If You Have

1. Experience supporting programmes within MOD frameworks
2. Worked in project roles across engineering, technology, or infrastructure
3. Familiarity with structured delivery methodologies (APM, PRINCE2, etc.)

Please Note This role is not suitable for direct service leavers without delivery experience outside the Armed Forces. We welcome those from ex-service backgrounds who have already worked in a commercial or agency-side project management role.
