The role

As a Project Manager, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Playing a crucial role in ensuring The Royal Navy's operational safety by delivering an integrated IT project portfolio within budget, on time, and to the highest quality standards.

Day-to-day, you’ll deliver specialist knowledge and technical expertise to innovative products, technologies, and collaborative solutions, supporting both internal and external Royal Navy customers.

Oversee project delivery, management, and support within agreed budgets, timelines, and quality standards
Collaborate with the Digital Solutions team on project management, service management, and project delivery
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership, users, and customers to provide project management support

This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with typically 2 days in the office/onsite and 3 days working from home.

Essential Experience Of The Project Manager

Experience within the Maritime Defence Sector or IT domain
Proven ability to deliver projects independently
Skilled in managing third-party suppliers
Strong knowledge of project management methods, leadership skills, and IT systems life cycle, with understanding of TickIT and ISO 20000 quality requirements

Qualifications For The Project Manager

Educated to degree level or equivalent experience
Prince 2 or APM certifications

The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
