Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager to lead the safe delivery of project works in Wimborne Minster, Dorset.

The role requires managing end-to-end activities from estimating to site management while maintaining strong client relationships and delivering on budget, programme and quality targets. You will develop opportunities, coordinate with developers, designers and subcontractors, and ensure compliance with CDM and CBRE QHSE standards.

Qualifications

• Recognition of technical qualification in Construction/Mechanical/Electrical is desirable.
• Degree level qualification in Project Management is desirable.
• APM, Prince 2, CDM and related safety certifications are beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop a pipeline of project opportunities from customer portfolios.
• Build long term capex plans using LCR and FMR data.
• Promote opportunities by site presence and client liaison.
• Engage stakeholders to define feasibility and act as trusted advisor.
• Define scope with developers, designers and sub-contractors within budget.
• Lead tendering, bid analysis and subcontractor management.
• Operate within CDM as principal contractor and manage risks.
• Ensure QHSE practices and project policies are embedded.
• Manage day-to-day execution end-to-end including estimating and surveying.
• Coordinate with stakeholders for effective project implementation.
• Obtain written acceptance and agree payments with clients.
• Maintain project documents and provide monthly reports to Head of Projects.
• Manage commercial terms to mitigate risk and protect margins.

Job Title

Project Manager

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions, leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management, are recruiting a Project Manager to join the team located in Wimborne Minster, Dorset.

Purpose Of The Job

Have full accountability and responsibility for the safe management and delivery of project works in line with business processes and procedures working alongside contract teams and client to generate pipeline sales and opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

1. 1. Identify and develop a short/medium and long term pipeline of Project opportunities from the portfolio of customers within the Business Unit.
2. 2. Use the LCR and FMR to build long term capex plans for customers.
3. 3. Leverage opportunities through visibility and presence on customer sites.
4. 4. Liaise with colleagues and managers to determine and identify project opportunities. Use case studies to promote business and host key decision makers on show site tours.
5. 5. Liaise with key stakeholders on their requirements and explain feasibility of their schemes to become a trusted advisor.
6. 6. Work with developers, designers and sub-contractors to define and document scope(s) of work(s). Develop and understand the full scope of works in line with the desired project business case and in turn outcome. This is to be within agreed budget requirements and required profit margins.
7. 7. Manage, run and draw up tenders on behalf of the customer as required. Carry out full tender analysis of all sub-contractor returns.
8. 8. Work within the current CDM process. In the main taking on the role of principle contractor.
9. 9. Identify, reduce and manage all statutory and commercial risks associated with the project they are leading.
10. 10. Ensure CBRE QHSE practices and processes are fully embedded in each project.
11. 11. Ensure full compliance with project management policies and procedures.
12. 12. Manage the day-to-day operational aspects of the project(s) "end to end". Activities to include but not be limited to estimating, business development, quantity surveying, sub-contractor management and site manager duties.
13. 13. Work closely with relevant stake holders to ensure effective and efficient implementation of the project(s).
14. 14. Ensure customer acceptance is adhered to, in writing and in line with the project plans.
15. 15. Mutually agree payment schedules and applications for payment to the benefit of the project and the business.
16. 16. Ensures project documents are complete, current and appropriately stored.
17. 17. Provide timely monthly reports to the Head of Projects/Business Unit Director in an agreed format.

Person Specification

Education

• Recognised technical qualification in Construction, Mechanical or Electrical or similar (desirable)
• Degree level qualification in Project Management (desirable)

• Degree level qualification within project management, construction management or equivalent (desirable)

Experience

• Proven project management experience in either an M&E, FM, construction or critical environment

• Experience of creating, presenting and managing on bids, tenders and proposals.
