Job summary

SSA Recruitment UK is seeking a Project Manager for civil engineering / groundworks / infrastructure projects in the North East region. The role requires taking overall responsibility for delivering projects from mobilisation to completion, ensuring safety, quality and on-time performance.

The successful candidate will manage site teams, subcontractors and stakeholders, control budgets, and work closely with commercial and engineering teams to resolve challenges and maintain programme progress.

Qualifications

• Full project management responsibility from mobilisation through to completion.
• Experience managing projects from start to finish.
• Strong commercial and contractual awareness.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Experience managing site teams and subcontractors.
• Strong understanding of construction health & safety requirements.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deliver against demanding programmes.

Responsibilities

• Full project management responsibility from mobilisation through to completion.
• Managing and coordinating site teams, subcontractors, suppliers and stakeholders.
• Planning and programming works to ensure projects are delivered on time.
• Managing project budgets, costs and commercial performance.
• Working closely with the commercial and engineering teams.
• Ensuring all works are carried out in accordance with health & safety requirements.
• Monitoring progress and providing regular project updates.
• Managing client relationships and attending progress meetings.
• Identifying and managing project risks.
• Ensuring quality standards and specifications are maintained.
• Coordinating resources, plant and material.
• Managing subcontractor performance and ensuring works are delivered to programme.
• Supporting the resolution of technical and construction issues throughout the project lifecycle.
