Project Manager

My client, a well renowned civil engineering contractor, is currently looking for a Project Manager to join their growing team in the West Midlands. This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful and growing business in the UK with excellent opportunity for career progression.

Duties:

1. Lead the project team to ensure that contracts are completed on schedule, budget and in compliance with the company health and safety legislation.
2. Support the surveying team in the management & control of contract costs & variations with regular reporting of cost projections & status to the Project Director / Contracts Manager.
3. Develop strong client relationships.
4. Manage & assess subcontractors' quality of work & their ability to maintain the scope of the programme.
5. Liaise with design teams to ensure design deliverables are on target.
6. Maintain an excellent relationship with the management team, subcontractors, and clients.
7. Planning/scheduling of works.

Skills/Experience:

1. 3rd level degree in a construction-related field.
2. 7 years previous experience (minimum 2 in a PM role).
3. Previous experience with a recognised contractor.
4. Strong commitment to Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental systems.
5. Previous experience delivering large scale civil engineering projects (RC, earthworks, heavy civils).
