Job summary

Isio in Birmingham, a fast-growing pensions and employee benefits advisor, is seeking a Solutions Project Manager to lead delivery across the Transformation programme.

You will apply Agile and Waterfall methods, manage full project lifecycles, coordinate multiple stakeholders and vendors, and ensure projects stay on time and within budget.

Qualifications

  • Pensions project management experience is essential.

  • Proactive blocker resolution and issue escalation.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver workstreams on time, scope and budget using Agile/Waterfall approaches.
  • Manage full project life cycle including setup, planning, reporting and close.
  • Coordinate business and vendor tasks to weekly deliverables.
  • Lead daily stand-ups and unblock blockers.
  • Use detailed project plans with JIRA.
  • Plan, track and mitigate scope, milestones and deliverables.
  • Conduct stakeholder mapping and manage plans.
  • Document, measure and report key processes.
  • Identify risks and issues and mitigate or escalate.
  • Manage budget to stay within approved funds.
  • Share project management practices to improve Isio's framework.
  • UK pensions knowledge desirable.

Job description

The Solutions Project Manager oversees the delivery and support of the projects within the Transformation programme using Isio’s project management processes and standards.

The role requires pensions experience and practical knowledge of project delivery using Agile and Waterfall processes to deliver outputs to internal sponsors across the business.

This role is based in our Birmingham city centre office with a hybrid workstyle, other locations can be considered for the right candidate.

What does the role entail?

  • Delivering workstreams on time, scope and budget using Agile/Waterfall approaches.
  • Management of the full project life cycle, including set-up, planning, progress reporting to key stakeholders, liaison with multiple stakeholders and third parties, project control and project close.
  • Manage a variety of business and vendor tasks to weekly deliverables to keep the project on track.
  • Run the daily stand-ups as required, establish if there are any ‘blockers’ and take ownership of issues to get these ‘unblocked’.
  • Using detailed project plans using JIRA
  • Planning, tracking and mitigation management of scope, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Stakeholder mapping and management of plans.
  • Ensure key processes are documented, followed, measured, and reported on a regular basis.
  • Identify and capture risks and issues, then mitigate or escalat e as appropriate.
  • Budget management and tracking to ensure project remains within approved budget.
  • Sharing project management best practices and processes to continually develop and improve Isio’s project management framework

  • Experience of Project Management within pensions is essential.
