Job description

As a Project Manager within the Cloud Enabling and Agresso Re-platforming (CLEAR) project, you will be at the forefront of delivering the Digital Foundations that underpin the University’s Strategic Plan.

The CLEAR project is a university-wide initiative aimed at building the foundations of a Cloud environment to ensure the University’s core systems are future-proof. As part of this, the University’s finance system, Agresso, is transitioning to the Cloud. The project is entering its implementation phase, involving multiple workstreams that require active planning, management, and monitoring.

The Finance Systems Re-Implementation Project Manager will be responsible for managing and delivering this workstream, with opportunities to collaborate across other workstreams. The project will involve various changes affecting stakeholders across the organization, which will need careful design and management. The post-holder will work closely with the Finance Business Lead, Programme Manager, Change Manager, HR and Communications Leads, and will coordinate cross-functional teams including Finance, Procurement, Faculty Finance Teams, Digital, Data and Technology Group, and other professional services.

This role is offered on a full-time basis, working 36.5 hours per week, on a fixed-term contract until December 2026.

As a member of the Department of Planning, Performance and Strategic Change, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Collaborate with diverse academic and professional teams to tackle complex challenges.
  • Develop and enhance project management capabilities across the institution, making a lasting impact on delivery success.
  • Engage with stakeholders at all levels, from senior leadership to project teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Present progress and insights to the Project Board, aligning with the University’s strategic goals.
  • Demonstrate a passion for project management and the ability to inspire and engage others.
  • Proven experience managing complex digital projects, ideally within a Finance/ERP systems context, with multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across diverse teams.
