Job summary

Cameo Consultancy (Recruitment) Limited is seeking a Project Manager to lead software delivery projects in Banbury. You will plan, coordinate and deliver software development, configuration and implementation projects, working with Product, Engineering and Professional Services teams.

Ideal candidates will hold PRINCE2/APM/Agile qualifications, strong planning skills and excellent stakeholder communication.

Qualifications

  • PRINCE2, APM or Agile/Scrum qualification.
  • Understanding of the software development lifecycle.
  • Experience with Agile delivery methods such as Scrum.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to identify risks and convert them into actions.
  • Confidence working with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build trusted relationships.
  • Experience using project management and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Understanding budgets, resources, timescales and project delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Planning and coordinating projects from initiation through to delivery and customer sign-off.
  • Creating and maintaining project plans, schedules, milestones and deliverables.
  • Coordinating software development, configuration and implementation activity.
  • Working closely with Product, Engineering, Business Analysis and Professional Services teams.
  • Supporting Agile ways of working, including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews and retrospectives.
  • Monitoring project progress, identifying blockers and keeping delivery on track.
  • Managing scope, change requests, risks, issues and dependencies.
  • Coordinating customer deployment activity, including testing, data migration and go-live.
  • Acting as a key day-to-day contact for customers and managing stakeholder expectations.
  • Running project meetings and providing clear updates on progress, risks and next steps.
  • Supporting budget, resource and forecast tracking.
  • Producing accurate project reports and maintaining project documentation.
  • Supporting project handover, customer sign-off and lessons learned.
  • Contributing ideas to improve project processes, tools and ways of working.

Job description

Cameo is recruiting for a Project Manager to join an established and innovative technology business based in Banbury on a full time, permanent basis.This is a great opportunity for someone looking to develop their project management career within a software and technology environment, working on interesting customer projects with a real-world impact.

You'll work closely with internal teams and customers to plan, coordinate and deliver software development, configuration and implementation projects - keeping everything moving, managing expectations and making sure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the expected standard.

As Project Manager you will be responsible for:

As Project Manager you must be/have:

You'll ideally have experience in a Project Manager or similar project delivery role, together with:

  • A recognised project management qualification such as PRINCE2, APM or Agile/Scrum
  • An understanding of software development and the software development lifecycle
  • Experience of Agile delivery methods such as Scrum
  • Strong organisational and planning skills, with excellent attention to detail
  • The ability to identify risks and issues early and turn them into practical actions
  • Confidence working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships
  • Experience using project management and Microsoft Office tools
  • A good understanding of budgets, resources, timescales and project delivery
It would be great if you also have:
  • Experience within defence or another highly regulated environment
  • Knowledge of learning technology
  • Experience delivering SaaS or enterprise software implementations
  • An understanding of training systems or learning technologies
  • UK Security Clearance, or eligibility to obtain it
