Job summary

Cameo Consultancy Recruitment Ltd in Banbury is recruiting a Project Manager for a full-time, permanent role within an established technology business. You will plan, coordinate and deliver software development, configuration and implementation projects, ensuring delivery on time, within budget and to the agreed standard.

You will work closely with Product, Engineering and Professional Services teams, support Agile practices (sprints, stand-ups, reviews) and manage risks, scope and dependencies

Qualifications

• PRINCE2, APM or Agile/Scrum certifications required.
• Understanding of software development lifecycle and SaaS projects.
• Experience with Agile delivery methods such as Scrum.
• Strong organizational and planning skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to identify risks and issues early and translate them into actions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate projects from initiation through delivery and customer sign-off.
• Create and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones and deliverables.
• Coordinate software development, configuration and implementation activity.
• Work with Product, Engineering, Business Analysis and Professional Services teams.
• Support Agile ways of working, including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews and retrospectives.
• Monitor project progress, identify blockers and keep delivery on track.
• Manage scope, change requests, risks, issues and dependencies.
• Coordinate customer deployment activity, including testing, data migration and go-live.
• Act as a key day-to-day contact for customers and manage stakeholder expectations.
• Run project meetings and provide clear updates on progress, risks and next steps.
• Support budget, resource and forecast tracking.
• Produce accurate project reports and maintain project documentation.
• Support project handover, customer sign-off and lessons learned.
• Contribute ideas to improve project processes, tools and ways of working.

Cameo is recruiting for a Project Manager to join an established and innovative technology business based in Banbury on a full time, permanent basis. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to develop their project management career within a software and technology environment, working on interesting customer projects with a real-world impact.

You'll work closely with internal teams and customers to plan, coordinate and deliver software development, configuration and implementation projects - keeping everything moving, managing expectations and making sure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the expected standard.

As Project Manager you will be responsible for:

As Project Manager you must be/have:

You'll ideally have experience in a Project Manager or similar project delivery role, together with:

• A recognised project management qualification such as PRINCE2, APM or Agile/Scrum
• An understanding of software development and the software development lifecycle
• Experience of Agile delivery methods such as Scrum
• Strong organisational and planning skills, with excellent attention to detail
• The ability to identify risks and issues early and turn them into practical actions
• Confidence working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships
• Experience using project management and Microsoft Office tools
• A good understanding of budgets, resources, timescales and project delivery

It would be great if you also have:

• Experience within defence or another highly regulated environment
• Knowledge of learning technology
• Experience delivering SaaS or enterprise software implementations
• An understanding of training systems or learning technologies
• UK Security Clearance, or eligibility to obtain it
