Job summary

Arcadis is seeking an experienced project management professional to help deliver major rail infrastructure projects in the United Kingdom. Working across a diverse portfolio, you will support or lead the safe and successful development and delivery of rail schemes, coordinating across clients, contractors and operators within multidisciplinary teams.

Working across a diverse portfolio of current and upcoming rail infrastructure and asset protection projects you will support or lead the safe and successful development and delivery of rail infrastructure and externally funded schemes.The level of appointment will reflect your experience, leadership capability and the complexity of projects you can independently manage.This is an opportunity to contribute to challenging rail programmes and projects, working alongside multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, responsible and sustainable outcomes.Whether you are building your career as an Assistant Project Manager or already leading complex programmes at Senior Project Manager level, we will match the opportunity and level of responsibility to your skills and experience.Role accountabilities:Depending on your experience, you will support or lead multidisciplinary teams delivering projects across the operational railway. Your responsibilities may include:Managing project scope, delivery plans, milestones, dependencies and project controlsSupporting or leading rail infrastructure, asset protection and third-party schemesCoordinating interfaces between clients, contractors, operators, asset owners and technical disciplinesManaging project risks, issues, change, governance and assurance requirementsMonitoring programme, cost, quality, safety and overall project performanceWorking within rail project lifecycles and governance processes, including PACE or equivalentSupporting commercial management, contract administration, procurement and budget controlCommunicating clear project updates, recommendations and decisions to stakeholdersLeading project teams and mentoring colleagues at the more senior levelsThe roles provide the opportunity to work across multidisciplinary projects where safety, railway interfaces, stakeholder relationships and successful delivery are critical.Qualifications & Experience:Previous rail industry experience is essential for every appointment level.You will bring:Experience supporting or delivering projects within the rail industryAn understanding of the operational railway and railway infrastructureKnowledge of project management principles, including scope, schedule, cost, risk, quality, governance and changeStrong organisational, communication and stakeholder management skillsCommercial awareness and an understanding of budgets, contracts and project controlsThe ability to manage competing priorities and maintain accurate project informationA collaborative, safety-focused and solutions-led approachExperience involving asset protection, third-party schemes, possessions and isolations, sponsorship, PACE, signalling, digital railway, timetable interfaces or infrastructure assurance would be particularly valuable.Knowledge of areas such as CDM Regulations, CSM-RA, Network Change, access agreements or rail safety assurance would also be advantageous.Why Arcadis?We can only achieve our goals when everyone is empowered to be their best.
