Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join the Rail South, West & Wales team. You will contribute to the design and delivery of rail infrastructure projects, applying civil engineering expertise across feasibility, design and implementation stages.

You will work in multidisciplinary teams, produce technical drawings and reports, ensure compliance with rail standards, and mentor junior staff while promoting safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in civil engineering design within railway environment and knowledge of rail standards.
• Experience working in multidisciplinary project teams.
• Ability to produce clear, accurate, and concise technical documentation and reports.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to design and delivery of rail engineering projects, ensuring outputs meet safety, quality and client requirements.
• Develop practical engineering solutions across feasibility, design and implementation stages.
• Support planning, coordination and execution of project activities within multidisciplinary teams.
