Project Management Officer Procurement – Global Automotive Manufacturer

Location: Hybrid 3 Days Office Central London

Role

You will optimise procurement processes, drive value creation and support strategic projects across our clients global operations. This is a high-impact role offering the opportunity to influence procurement strategy and operations while working directly with senior leadership teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Procurement Strategy & Optimisation:

  1. Design and implement efficient procurement processes and systems that ensure compliance and cost-effectiveness.
  2. Identify opportunities for value creation and cost savings across procurement activities.

Project Management & Execution:

  1. Oversee procurement-related projects, ensuring timelines, budgets and deliverables are met.
  2. Maintain dynamic project updates and proactively analyse and mitigate risks.

Cost Management & Analysis:

  1. Lead project material cost evaluations and support process cost implementation.
  2. Provide expert analysis and recommendations on procurement-related financial decisions.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  1. Act as the key liaison between procurement and internal teams, ensuring seamless project execution.
  2. Partner with global teams in Madrid, Sweden and China to align procurement strategies.

Risk Management:

  1. Develop and implement risk management strategies related to procurement and supply chain operations.

Qualifications and Skills:

Experience:

  1. Proven experience in procurement, supply chain or project management within the automotive industry.
  2. Strong background in managing complex projects across global teams.

Skills:

  1. Expertise in supply chain software, ERP systems and data analysis tools.
  2. Exceptional analytical, problem-solving and strategic thinking skills.
  3. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  4. Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Business Administration, Procurement Management, Economics or a related field.
  2. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools.
  3. Knowledge of Mandarin is a strong advantage.
