Job summary

A major aerospace manufacturer is seeking a Project Management Officer (PMO) to enhance project governance in Broughton. You will support engineering excellence by coaching teams on PM tools, maintaining project plans, and driving stakeholder alignment. Ideal candidates are detail-driven and adaptable, with experience in manufacturing environments. This is a 12-month contract role offering flexible hours with an hourly rate of £27.68 (PAYE) or £37.02 (Umbrella).

  • Join Airbus as a Project Management Officer (PMO) - Broughton

Location: Broughton (Onsite)

Contract: 12 months (with potential extension)

Hours: 35 per week (flexible start between 7am-7pm)

Rate: £27.68/hour (PAYE) | £37.02/hour (Umbrella)

Security Clearance: BPSS+ (handled by Airbus Security)

IR35 Status: Inside IR35

Airbus is looking for a Project Management Officer (PMO) to join our dynamic Manufacturing Engineering team in Broughton. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape project governance, support engineering excellence, and drive performance across wide-body aircraft programmes.

  • What You'll Be Doing
  • Championing best-practice project management across manufacturing engineering.
  • Supporting project leaders with structure, governance, and day-to-day coordination.
  • Coaching teams on PM tools and methods, and promoting Agile ways of working.
  • Acting as Scrum Master where needed and driving stakeholder alignment.
  • Building and maintaining end-to-end project plans, tracking milestones and risks.
  • Leading Earned Value Management (EVM) and Risk & Opportunity processes.
  • Collaborating with Finance to monitor cost vs. progress.
  • Delivering clear reporting, dashboards, and KPIs to support decision-making.
  • What We're Looking For
  • A true PMO - not a Project Manager - with a hands-on, supportive approach.
  • Someone dynamic, adaptable, and tech-savvy.
  • Strong understanding of project governance, tools, and structure.
  • Excellent communicator with a knack for spotting risks and proposing solutions.
  • Experience in manufacturing, production, or industrial environments is a plus.
  • Portfolio management experience is a bonus!
