Job Description:

Position Overview

To support the London / Madrid construction team in all matters relating to the construction of the new stores, renovations, and refits of existing stores from initial phase to turnover. The role involves coordinating all aspects of new projects, working closely with internal partners, consultants, and suppliers to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. This role covers all RL distribution channels including Wholesale, Travel Retail, and rollout format stores throughout EMEA.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Manage the end-to-end construction process for multiple new stores and renovation projects, from initial planning to final handover.
  2. Manage and coach the store project management team across EMEA, Wholesale, Travel Retail, and Rollout.
  3. Engage with internal clients to align on project objectives and collaborate with Real Estate, Legal, Business teams, and internal architects and designers.
  4. Manage external vendors and subcontractors to meet project objectives, sourcing high-quality materials and services.
  5. Develop and oversee project budgets, ensuring financial targets are met while maintaining quality.
  6. Create and monitor detailed project schedules, adjusting timelines as needed.
  7. Implement quality control measures to ensure work meets brand standards and industry regulations.
  8. Oversee site activities, ensuring safety compliance and craftsmanship quality.
  9. Identify and resolve construction issues proactively to minimize delays.
  10. Prepare progress reports, documenting milestones, challenges, and financial status.
  11. Manage snagging and project close-out procedures with internal teams and contractors.
  12. Travel regularly across EMEA for site visits.

Experience, Skills & Knowledge

  • Background in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related fields.
  • Experience in luxury retail construction or high-end commercial projects.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of luxury retail standards, construction processes, and materials.
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and MS Office; Smartsheet experience is a plus.
  • Relevant certifications like PMP or LEED preferred.
  • Knowledge of risk, budget management, and local construction regulations.
  • Experience in contract negotiations and claims management.
  • Familiarity with lean construction principles.
  • Strong financial skills in budgeting and cost control.
